In today’s world, striving to minimise our impact on the environment by reducing material usage often means ‘less-is-more’ and our FORTY range of desking is no exception. We named it FORTY because the leg frame is of minimalist 40mm thick metal tubing, and ‘A’ because the profile resembles the letter A. It’s an elegant, versatile, robust and very economical desking system offering a range of worktop sizes in single workstation or bench-style formats using shared framework.
From the same range but with different styled leg and frame profiles you might wish to also view the FortyO and Forty4.
Rectangular workstations are available as single desk units or bench-style clusters with shared legs and framework. By sharing framework, considerable cost savings are achieved due to the reduction of legs and other metal components. Bench units can be created to any size and number of desk positions, the only restriction being practicality, and the greater size the higher the per-unit cost saving. Single desks and Benches can be made up of any combination of the following worktop/desk top standard sizes:
Height: 74cm
Depth: 70cm and 80cm
Width: 120cm, 140cm, 160cm and 180cm
Should you have a specific need that is not catered for from our standard range, bespoke and semi bespoke sizes and designs are available upon request.
Crescent desks (or corner desks) are available as stand-alone workstations with the return edge positioned either on the left or the right-hand side. The return edge can be extended to a 2m length with the addition of a suspended return. Combinations of left and right-handed crescent desks can be placed together to create a variety of different shaped clusters. Available sizes as follows:
Height: 74cm
Width: 140cm, 160cm and 180cm
Depth: 120cm (can be extended to 200cm with suspended return)
Hot-Desking and regular desk users need easily accessible power and data outlets at desktop level to plug in their laptops, phones and other mobile devices. Most desks also have PCs and other devices with multiple cables running from the floor.
We have an elegant, functional and low cost solution to address both of these issues. The desk top is fitted with a rectangular hatch with a hinged metal lid (shown left), through which cables can be routed via a cable tray or duct or directly to the floor if preferred. For regular access, a power block can be seated within the cable tray directly beneath the hatch, giving users a quick and easy solution for powering their mobile devices. The hinged topped hatch is seen here in its open and closed positions. Cables can pass through a groove in the lid even when it is closed. If the hatch is not required, we can supply the desks with a simple scallop-shaped recess in the rear edge of the worktop which is sufficiently large to pass plugs and cables. Of course, it can be supplied without either if no cable management is required.
A range fabric and plexiglass screens varying sizes and heights provide privacy and colour.
