Our client in Pall Mall had an area within their building which was intended to be used as additional meeting and quiet work space. Due to exceptionally poor acoustics and lighting, lack of temperature control and a generally drab and uncomfortable décor it was never used. 

Octopus Interiors resolved the acoustics issue by fitting Fabric Clad Acoustic Panels to the walls and fitting new thicker pile carpet tiles. In addition, we installed new lighting, air conditioning and carried out general decoration. The transformation was immense and the room immediately became a popular and regularly used place for meetings, telephone conversations and focused quiet work.

AlphaOne Partner’s brief to us was to provide a quality job with looks to match but at very keen price, and we delivered just that. The open plan suite was fitted with a combination of solid and glazed walls to create office and meeting areas. The doors to each room were bespoke in wenge veneer with doorframes to match. New power and data cabling was run as well as the fitting of new carpeting. Octopus also provided furniture and a reception counter.

Opera Gallery, New Bond Street

International Art dealers Opera Gallery commissioned Octopus Interiors to supply new carpeting and partition walls in their office in New Bond Street, Mayfair London W1. We fitted a combination of single and double glazed partitions which featured a bespoke logo design, and replaced the rather drab landlord provided carpet tiles with textured pattered random lay tiles from Interface. 

Liberty of London

Octopus Interiors have carried out multiple office partition installations at the offices of the famous London department store Liberty of London in Regent Street, W1. Adrian Roman, Project Manager and designer at Liberty’s said the following:

“I wanted to thank you very much for your perfect management of this last install on 2nd Floor. All great and looks amazing, also delivered in time as always.”

Projects at Liberty include converting an open plan office area into individual meeting rooms with a combination of taped and jointed solid partitions and fitting carpet tiling to various areas within the administration offices.

Furniture Showroom London Bridge SE1

Octopus acquired, refurbished and ran this showroom within an old warehouse building near the London Bridge Quarter SE1 on behalf of a German manufacturer for showcasing their range of specialist ergonomic task, meeting and executive chairs and furniture.

Refurbishment of London Mayfair Offices

Octopus undertook the refurbishment of these listed period offices in Dover Street, Mayfair. Works included the provision of glazed partition walls and the re-decoration of all walls, ceilings and woodwork throughout in a combination of ‘posh’ paints from Little Greene, The Paint & Paper Library and Zoffany . Comfort backed Carpet tiles from European manufacturer Ege were fitted throughout the offices.

Acorn Group, Bromley

Acorn is a leading estate agency in North Kent and Southeast London with over 30 high street branches within the area. Their brands include Acorn, Langford Russell and John Payne. Octopus Interiors have supplied more than 400 desks and associated office furniture items such as chairs, pedestals, meeting tables and storage & filing cupboards for the Group’s Head Office in Bromley and their High Street Branch Offices.

We have also supplied and fitted dozens of glazed partition walls and doors to create meeting rooms and mortgage consultation rooms through out the offices.

Queen Elizabeth Diamond Jubilee Trust, London SW1

Octopus Interiors carried out an office refurbishment for The Queen Elizabeth Diamond Jubilee Trust in Buckingham Palace Road, London SW1. The space within a listed period building was transformed with new carpeting, kitchenette, partition walls, lights,  decorating and office furniture. Rosemary Mitchell, Director of Strategy & Operations said “It all looks amazing. Thank you so much for all your hard work”. Shortly afterwards,  the new office was officially opened by the Trust’s Chairman, The Rt Hon Sir John Major.

Marketforce, London EC1

Octopus Interiors have fitted-out two offices of 800m2 and 500m2 for Marketforce in Clerkenwell. Work included extensive glass and solid partition installations, decorating, teapoint fitting and the provision of additional air conditioning. Desks and task chairs to seat their 70 staff plus other furnishings were provided from our superb Narbutas range.

Erinvale, Bromley

Specialist property developers Erinvale Group re-vamped a large space within their office complex after a single tenant vacated in order to create office suites and meeting areas for serviced office occupancy. Octopus Interiors provided and fitted all of the glazed partition frontages and doors throughout the building.

Octopus Interiors carried out refurbishment and fitout work over 5 floors of Perivan’s offices in the City of London, EC2. Work has included the planning and moving of floorboxes to suit new office furniture layouts, the installation of partition walls to create new meeting and cellular office spaces, the supply and fitting of carpet tiles, installation of teapoints and the supply and installation of desking, chairs and other office furniture to accommodate 60 permanent staff.

Taylor Rose TTKW

We fitted out offices in Moorgate and Lincoln’s Inn for Law Firm Taylor Rose TTKW with glass and solid partitions, Interface carpet tiles throughout and teapoints. Against a tight timeframe of just a few days to prepare and a few days to complete the works, Octopus were able to provide the product, resources and competitive pricing to meet their needs. We installed over 90 linear metres of solid and glazed partitioning, as well as cutting or extending existing walls to suit the new layout.

Carpeting at Fisher Productions & Setsquare Staging

14,000 sq ft carpet tile contract

Octopus completed a 1400 m2 carpet tile fitting contract over the two sites of Fisher Productions and Setsquare Staging in South West London. We supplied and fitted the Floor Hub’s Dahlia range of carpet tiles and worked to a design created in AutoCAD by Fisher’s in-house design team using dark and lighter tones of grey carpet tiles to create a funky effect.

Conversion of an Industrial Unit into Offices

Leading value investors Phoenix Asset Management Partners bucked the trend by setting up near the River Thames in leafy Barnes, London SW13, rather than Mayfair. The location, an old industrial unit, had to be converted into office space. Octopus Interiors carried out an extensive conversion which included the removal of large roller shutter doors and replacing with double glazed windows, creating additional windows, installing a suspended grid ceiling with LED lighting, ducted air conditioning, all new power and data cabling, partitioning, carpeting, LVT (luxury vinyl tile flooring), showers, WCs, kitchen, office furniture and much more

FP Creative, London SE1

Creative Agency FP Creative appointed Octopus Interiors to refurbish their office in Vineyard, London SE1 when they first moved there. The office was looking tired and in need of a general smarten-up. We transformed the space with a relatively simple but very effective make-over of decorating, new Karndean wood-plank effect vinyl flooring, ceiling lighting, kitchenette, toilets and new power and data. The project was completed with the installation of Techo’s Citis SN bench desking system and Sidiz task chairs giving a very pleasing and fresh appearance. Whilst the refurbishment was in progress, a time-lapse camera recorded the events within the open-plan area and this can be seen on youtube.

Temple Group, London E1

Octopus Interiors completed an office refurbishment for the Temple Group at their offices in St Katherine’s Dock. The fitout involved predominantly glazed partition walls to create a number of new cellular offices, painting and decorating with Eco paints, and fitting a new kitchen and breakout area also using Eco products. The project was carried out over an exceptionally tight timescale leading up to a Christmas break. Michelle Page of Temple Group commented “Mark and I visited this morning and I gave him a tour of the new and improved office . Both of us are extremely pleased with the progress, level of workmanship and effort which has gone into delivering this project, and the painting is perfect and I am delighted with how well they did, they are a great team.”

A small 1,500sq ft Carpet Tile Project in London Docklands

We are often approached to fit just carpet tiles, and we are delighted to do so.  Our projects range from large to small, challenging to straight forward, high-end to basic. 

Our customers are often working to a tight budget where plain, simple and business-like is the remit. Here is an example where we were presented with a 140m² office that we had to complete within a single day, in which we had to remove and dispose of the old tiles and work around (and move) large piles of packing boxes and loose items. Our customer wanted an economically priced hard-wearing heavy contract product and on this occasion we supplied and fitted the GoTo low cost low carbon carpet tile range.
