We’re in the business of providing high standard yet economically priced fit-outs for small & medium sized companies with offices in Central London. We typically cater for businesses with offices ranging in size between 1,000 and 10,000 square feet.

Office Fitout encompasses everything to do with the internal fixtures and fittings including partition walls, carpet tiles and laminate flooring, raised access floors, suspended ceilings and lighting, power distribution, sockets and data cabling, airconditioning, painting & decorating, office furniture and much more.

AlphaOne Partner’s brief to us was to provide a quality job with looks to match but at very keen price. Needless to say, we delivered just that. The previously open plan suite was fitted with a combination of solid and glazed walls to create office and meeting areas. The doors to each room were bespoke in Wenge veneer with doorframes to match. Octopus also provided furniture and a reception counter.

When events company Marketforce needed to move from the premises they had occupied for the past 10 years, Octopus Interiors assisted them by evaluating the suitability of several potential offices they had found in Central London by carrying out measured surveys and space planning. The new office was going to be smaller than the existing, so the purpose of this exercise was to establish whether it would fulfil all of their requirements, including whether their 70+ staff would fit comfortably, before engaging in lengthy negotiations with the landlords and their solicitors. Having identified a suitable office in St John’s Square in Clerkenwell London EC1, we assisted further by providing measurement detail that would challenge the landlord on the stated floor area and which ultimately resulted in an overall reduction in rent for the client. Octopus Interiors embarked on a 4 week tight schedule to prepare the 5,500 square foot office for occupation by carrying out a variety of works including re-decorating the entire office, fitting a new kitchen, air conditioning and electrical & data works.  With just 4 weeks from order to completion, we also supplied an entirely new set of desks, chairs and associated furniture for their 70 staff.

Because the staff had previously been working in a larger space, it was extremely important that the new office would be considered by all as an upgrade and improvement on before. We achieved this by providing great looking desks from our economically priced FortyO range, and considerate layout planning to ensure there was plenty of open space.  We added interest by creating ‘accent walls’ of various bright colours to complement the fabric desk screens, and applying coloured manifestation film coverings to some of the glazed walls.  Our new ‘Breeze’ ergonomic mesh-backed desk chairs were provided throughout.


Liberty of London

Glass partition installation at Liberty of LondonOctopus Interiors carried out an office partition installation at the offices of the famous London department store Liberty of London in Regent Street, W1.  Adrian Roman, Project Manager and designer at Liberty’s said the following:

“I wanted to thank you very much for your perfect management of this last install on 2nd Floor IT. All great and looks amazing, also delivered in time as always.”

Previous projects at Liberty included converting an open plan office area into six meeting rooms with a combination of taped and jointed solid partition with false dropped bulkheads, and the Octopus 100 minmal framework 12mm toughened glass partitioning system.

Erinvale, Bromley

Specialist property developers Erinvale Group re-vamped a  large space within their office complex after a single tenant vacated in order to create office suites and meeting areas for serviced office occupancy.  Octopus Interiors provided and fitted all of the glazed partition frontages and doors throughout the building.

International Art dealers Opera Gallery commissioned Octopus Interiors to supply and fit single and double glazed partition walls in their new 1,500 sq ft London office in New Bond Street, Mayfair London W1.  We also removed the existing carpet and replaced it with the ‘Current’ range of textured pattered random lay carpet tile from Interface.

Acorn Group, Bromley

Acorn is a leading estate agency in North Kent and Southeast London with over 30 high street branches within the area. Their brands include Acorn, Langford Russell and John Payne. Octopus Interiors have supplied more than 300 desks and associated office furniture items such as chairs, pedestals, meeting tables and storage & filing cupboards for the Group’s Head Office in Bromley and their High Street Branch Offices.

We have also supplied and fitted dozens of glazed partiton walls and doors to create meeting rooms and mortgage consultation rooms through out the offices.

Decorating & Carpet Fitting in London Mayfair Offices

Octopus undertook the re-decoration and carpet fitting in this 2,500 sq ft listed period office in Dover Street, Mayfair. To maintain the style and feeling of the office, we decorated the walls, ceilings and all woodwork in a combination of paints from Little Greene, The Paint & Paper Library and Zoffany . The carpet tiles were from European manufacturer Ege.

Perivan, London EC2

For many years, Worship Street in London EC2 has been the ideal location for financial printing company Perivan to serve its City based customers, but when the new landlord decided to refurbish the entire building they were left with a decision to either move, or stay put but with reduced floor space which was not easy given that they are expanding and taking on more staff. Octopus helped space plan a solution resulting in a higher concentration of desks within the available 6,000 sq feet whilst maintaining a comfortable working environment. Perivan chose our extremely cost effective FortyO desking range, 80 of which, including pedestals screens and various other storage units and meeting tables were installed over 3 floors in the building.

In addition, we built new dropped bulkheads to the ceiling and installed glazed partitioning beneath to create 3 new cellular office & meeting room spaces.

Taylor Rose TTKW

Law Firm Taylor Rose TTKW instructed Octopus Interiors to fit out their new 5,200 sq ft City of London Moorgate offices with glass and solid partitions, as well as fitting Interface carpet tiles throughout on a rapid turnaround. Against a tight timeframe of just a few days to prepare and a few days to complete the works, Octopus were able to provide the product, resources and competitive pricing to meet their needs. We installed over 90 linear metres of solid and glazed partitioning, as well as cutting or extending existing walls to suit the new layout.

Carpeting at Fisher Productions

Octopus completed a 900 square metre carpet fitting contract at Fisher Productions in South West London.  We supplied and fitted the Dahlia range of carpet tiles to the ground and first floor offices in a patterned arrangement using dark and lighter tones of grey carpet tiles.  The design we worked to was created in AutoCAD by Fisher’s in-house design team.

Octopus subsequently carried out an almost identical carpet installation at another Fisher Productions company, Setsquare Staging, in their offices in Mitcham Surrey.

Warehouse to Office Conversion for Phoenix Asset Management Partners

A few years ago, leading Asset Management & Value Investors Phoenix Asset Management Partners bucked the trend by electing to base themselves near the River Thames in leafy Barnes, London SW13, rather than Mayfair. Initially occupying an office space above a storage facility in a quiet street, it soon became necessary to expand.  Over time, Octopus Interiors have completed two separate phases of office expansion by converting the ground floor warehouse areas into office space.

Phoenix are fund managers committed to value investing, and value was the key objective when refurbishing and extending their office.  They wanted it to look good & modern whilst being comfortable & practical to work in,  but in keeping with their core values all had to be kept to a reasonable cost and above all, there could not be any suggestion of excessive spending or wastefulness. By utilising quality but economically priced products, and by planning and managing the project carefully,  the resulting refurbishments exceeded their expectations and came in under budget.

Octopus Interiors carried out an office refurbishment for charity The Queen Elizabeth Diamond Jubilee Trust at their new offices in Buckinham Palace Road, London SW1.  The 2nd floor space within a listed period building was transformed with new carpeting, kitchenette, glazed partition wall, lights, painting and decorating and new office furniture. Rosemary Mitchell, Director of Strategy & Operations for the Trust said “It all looks amazing. Thank you so much for all your hard work”.

Shortly after the completion of refurbishment works, an evening drinks event was held at the office at which it was officially declaired open for business by the Trust’s Chairman, The Rt Hon Sir John Major.  See our before and after photos for this project.


FP Creative, London SE1

Creative Agency FP Creative appointed Octopus Interiors to refurbish their office in Vineyard, London SE1 when they first moved there. The office was looking tired and in need of a general smarten-up. We transformed the space with a relatively simple but very effective make-over of decorating, new Karndean wood-plank effect vinyl flooring, ceiling lighting, kitchenette, toilets and new power and data. The project was completed with the installation of Techo’s Citis SN bench desking system and Sidiz task chairs giving a very pleasing and fresh appearance. Whilst the refurbishment was in progress, a time-lapse camera recorded the events within the open-plan area and this can be seen on youtube.


Temple Group, London E1

Octopus Interiors have completed an office refurbishment for the Temple Group at their new offices in St Katherine’s Dock. The fitout involved predominantly glazed partition walls to create a number of new cellular offices, painting and decorating with Eco paints, and fitting a new kitchen and breakout area also using Eco products. The project was carried out over an exceptionally tight timescale leading up to the Christmas break. Michelle Page of Temple Group commented “Mark and I visited this morning and I gave him a tour of the new and improved office . Both of us are extremely pleased with the progress, level of workmanship and effort which has gone into delivering this project, and the painting is perfect and I am delighted with how well they did, they are a great team.”

New desks for The Wedding Shop

Making best use of space in a small office with new desks

The Wedding Shop was expanding and awaiting completion of a new office space suitable for their head office function in Barnes, South West London.  As an interim measure some temporary space was kitted out with 20 desks supplied by Octopus. Given that this was a short-term solution and that the furniture would have to be taken with them when they moved, the new desks needed to be keenly priced but of good quality and look good too so as to provide a suitable and pleasant office environment for the staff to work in. Our Nova desking range was the perfect solution. To complement the new desks, The Wedding Shop purchased Sidiz task chairs for each of their staff.  The company has since moved to its new premesis and further desks and chairs were supplied to match the exsiting.
